The ceremony for the 2025 International Nurses Day and International Midwives Day was held at Myanmar Nurse and Midwife Council (MNMC) in Yangon on 8 May 2025.
Deputy Minister for Health Prof Dr Aye Tun delivered opening remarks at the ceremony. The deputy Union Minister presented. the additional ့honorary awards conferred by MNMC to the nurses who have received the Social Excellence Award. Daw Nwe Nwe Khin, President of MNMC and Daw Yin Mya, President of Myanmar Nurse and Midwife Association delivered the welcoming remarks. Professor Daw Khin Thein, Central Executive Committee presented the talk to honor International Midwives Day with the theme “Midwives: Critical in Every Crisis”. Additionally, Dr Kyawt Kyawt Swe, Central Executive Committee Member also provided the talk that honors International Nurses Day with the theme “Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for Nurses Strengthens Economies”. Professor Dr Daw Win Win Myint, Nutritionist presented health education on Nutrition for Maternal and Child Health. Daw Nwe Nwe Khin delivered closing remarks.
